December has been such a lovely month for us — full of festive fun, proud moments, and lots of excitement across our studios. We celebrated our beautiful Winter Recitals, welcomed families into the studio for our Bring a Grown Up to Dance week, and officially announced the open our brand‑new Dundonald venue.
Santa and Elfie even dropped by for some surprise visits, bringing plenty of giggles and Christmas magic along the way.
Grab a wee cuppa and catch up on everything we’ve been up to — it’s been a really special end to 2025!
Winter Recitals 2025!
Winter Recitals = pure feel‑good chaos in the best way.
Our dancers showed up with all the energy — big smiles, big personalities, and some seriously cute moments that had us melting. From tiny legends to senior advanced giving it their all, teachers are once again super proud of each & every pupil!
Thanks to all our families for cheering, clapping, fixing hair bows, wiping noses, and being the heart of Jam Street. You make these events magic.
The most wonderful time of the year!
We had some extra‑special visitors this winter!
Santa popped into our Dance & Play classes and the little ones absolutely stole his heart — cuddles, giggles, and the sweetest “look who’s here!” faces. And just when we thought the festive fun was over, Elfie made a surprise appearance at our Winter Recitals, causing chaos in the best way and jumping into selfies with our dancers and families.
These moments were pure joy, and we loved seeing our Jam Street kids light up with Christmas magic.
💛 Huge love to our Jam Bop ASN superstars!
They stepped onto the stage for the very first time this winter and absolutely melted our hearts. Their confidence, joy, and pure determination had the whole room cheering. The support from our dancers, families, and audience was incredible — you lifted them up every step of the way. We’re bursting with pride for every single one of them.
Panto Season for our girls!
Huge shout‑out to our Jam Street girls who performed in this year’s panto, Sleeping Beauty!
They absolutely smashed it — full confidence, full sparkle, and totally owning that stage. A few of our teachers even managed to sneak in to see you in action, and honestly… slay. We’re bursting with pride watching you take your talent beyond the studio and shine so brightly.
New Year - New Venue!
Classes start in Dundonald in 2026!
Big news for 2026 — we’re growing!
We’re buzzing to announce that Jam Street is coming to Dundonald! From Wednesday 14th January, we’ll be launching brand‑new classes at Montgomerie Hall, bringing all the fun, energy, and community vibes you know and love. We can’t wait to welcome new faces, meet local families, and get the Dundonald crew dancing into the new year with us. It’s going to be a brilliant new chapter.
Bring a Grown up to Class
Bring Your Grown‑Up Week was an absolute riot!
Our parents properly went for it — full commitment, full laughs, and some seriously impressive (and hilarious) moves. The kids loved every second of showing off their routines, and the grown‑ups definitely held their own on the dance floor too.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and supported. You helped us wrap up the term with so much joy and energy — the perfect big finish
Leadership Awards
Huge congratulations to our students who achieved their SQA Leadership Level 5 award! From assisting in classes to helping run big events like our Halloween parties and Awards Evenings, they’ve shown real commitment, teamwork and confidence. Some are still waiting on their certificates, but every single one of them absolutely smashed it — we’re so proud of what they’ve achieved and how they’ve stepped up this year.
Interested in building confidence, gaining real experience and earning UCAS points along the way? We’re now opening up SQA Leadership Level 5 to anyone in S3 and above. If you fancy getting involved — from helping in classes to supporting events — just get in touch and we’ll talk you through how it all works.

Dancer of the Month – December: Olivia Ferrara
Olivia is an absolute powerhouse. She shows up, works hard, never misses a beat, and somehow juggles her NPA 4 with school and regular classes like it’s nothing. On stage, she completely comes alive — full performance mode, full sparkle, and the kind of presence that pulls your eye for all the right reasons. She knows how to entertain an audience, and she does it every single time. We love having her in class, and she’s a brilliant role model for others learning how to use expression and performance to bring their dancing to life.

Halloween Week Highlights!!
Dress up week finished with plenty of laughs as our seniors brought the house down with their Ibiza Boss group!
This year’s Halloween week was full of creativity, costumes, and fun across all classes. Our seniors gave us a brilliant finale with their Ibiza Boss performance, proving that dance is always better with a touch of humour. Thank you to everyone who joined in the spooky spirit!
Birthday Parties & New Characters!
Jam Street has been buzzing with celebrations—and we’ve added exciting new options to the mix.
We’ve hosted so many birthday parties this month, each one filled with joy and dancing. Alongside our beloved princesses—Cinderella, Elsa, Belle, and more—we’ve introduced a brand‑new K‑Pop character to delight fans. Plus, our new Aerial Hoop parties and Afternoon Tea parties are already proving popular with families looking for something extra special.
Jammy Events: Parties for All Ages!
From grown‑up gatherings to teen celebrations, Jammy Events has been busy making memories.
Special occasions for adults have been in full swing, with elegant parties hosted by Jammy Events. Our 11–17 year‑old parties have also been a huge hit, giving young dancers the chance to celebrate in style. We love creating unforgettable experiences for every age group.

We are so proud to celebrate Aryn as our Dancer of the Month! Her dedication and passion for dance have truly shone through—she has been blowing away her teacher in class with the incredible progress she’s made. Aryn’s commitment doesn’t stop at the studio; she practices tirelessly at home, and that hard work is paying off in every step she takes. Her improvement has been inspiring to watch, and she’s a wonderful example of how determination and love for dance can lead to amazing growth. Congratulations, Aryn—you’re a star!

Yuletide Celebration & Fundraising
Yuletide was a roaring success, filled with festive fun and community spirit.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Yuletide! From the Grinch’s Grotto to the bottle stall and raffle, the event was bustling with activity. Together, we raised funds to support our London trip, and we’re so grateful for your generosity and enthusiasm.

Studio 3 Opens at Kilmarnock
We’re proud to unveil our brand‑new custom‑built ballet studio.
This year marks a huge step forward for Jam Street School of Dance as we officially opened Studio 3 at our Kilmarnock venue. Designed specifically for ballet, this beautiful new space gives our dancers the perfect environment to train, grow, and shine. We’re incredibly proud of this addition to our school and can’t wait to see the artistry that will flourish here.
Showstoppers Costume Hire Launch!
Our brand‑new costume hire service is now live at Jam Street School of Dance!
We’re thrilled to announce that Showstoppers Costume Hire is officially up and running, offering a fabulous range of costumes for every occasion.
To celebrate, some of our talented pupils stepped into the spotlight as models for the day, and with the support of their parents—and the incredible eye of Eleanor Shirkie Photography—we captured stunning images for our new website. A huge thank you to everyone involved for helping us showcase this exciting new venture.
