THE JAM STREET TEAM
Jam Street School of Dance has been in operation for over 28 successful years, training pupils to professional standard in many different dance styles. We have classes for children aged 6 months to adults, some enjoy coming along every week for fun while others live & breathe dance therefore have ambitions of making a career out of performing and fulfilling their dreams. We have pupils currently performing professionally all over the world and many are taking their first steps attending dance college. We pride ourselves in teaching to a high standard and in turn are very proud of all our pupils & their achievements. We believe dance is for everyone & aim to nurture each student to the best of their individual ability. Founder & Owner
Susan Kelly F.B.A.T.D
Susan is the founder & owner of Jam Street School of Dance. Susan started her training relatively late at the age of 9 and immediately fell in love with the art. Continuing her training she attended the Lillian McNeill school of dance for a 3 year performers dance course before delving into the world of professional dance. Securing contracts with the Pavilion Theatre before traveling abroad with Royal Caribbean Productions and Belinda King, Susan worked extensively within the theatre & Tv sectors before opening the school in 1996. With her passion always leaning towards teaching, she has been committed to passing on all her knowledge to students and inspiring those who wish to follow their dreams. We are always progressing at Jam Street with the introduction of new classes, styles and techniques. Lizzie Craufurd A.B.A.T.D
Lizzie has been part of Jam Street since she was seven years old, attending various classes, venues and assisting in some of the classes which she loved
She then went to West College Scotland for three years graduating with an A in HND Dance
Freshly out of college Lizzie was given the opportunity to teach at Jam Street School of Dance and now takes a huge range of classes over all Jam Streets different branches. Lizzie has now taken on even more responsibility as joint owner of the school which is the perfect full circle. Lizzie has loved seeing the school grow since the start of her new position and describes this as her dream job with a dream team of teachers and amazing students alike.
As well as teaching she has other credits such as Edinburgh Fringe Festival, CBBC Taking The Next Step, Young Scot Awards and Scottish Sports Awards
Lizzie is over the moon to be part of such an amazing school and excited to see what the future holds for all the fabulously talented pupils
Lizzie’s most used quote is ‘one more time’ and it’s never just one more time!!

Emma Gardiner A.B.A.T.D
Emma Gardiner has been dancing since the age of 3, training extensively within the gymnastic field and many different styles at Jam Street School of Dance. Some of her best memories come from taking part and performing in several different shows throughout the year. Emma is trained in a variety of styles such as ballet, hip hop, lyrical and tap. Emma gained her associate teaching certificate in 2022 and has enjoyed all aspects of coaching within the school.
Currently, her favourite styles of dance are tap and hip hop. Quote "I love teaching a variety of styles to children of all ages, but the little ones especially make me laugh!"

Amanda Caldwell A.B.A.T.D
Amanda Caldwell started dance classes at Jam Street School of Dance at the age of 3, studying tap and jazz. By the age of 5, she began to add more to her repertoire with styles such as; ballet, hip hop, and lyrical. Throughout the years she has performed regularly in numerous shows as well as dancing professionaly at events and trade shows. Amanda began her professional training at Dance Studio Scotland when she was 18 & successfully gained an A in HND dance. From there she moved to Edinburgh to continue her training at MGA Academy to study BA (Hons) Dance where she achieved an incredible 2:1 degree! Since then she has enjoyed teaching at Jam Street, using her diverse & extensive knowledge to coach in all styles and for all ages from young children to adults. Francesca Devenny A.B.A.T.D
Francesca has been dancing since the tender age of 2. movement and rhythm has always been an integral part of her life.
Francesca studied dance at Glasgow Clyde College, where she honed her skills and deepened her love for this art form. ''My heart lies in teaching children. There’s something magical about nurturing their creativity, confidence, and love for dance.''
''I believe that dance is not just about steps; it’s about expression, joy, and connecting with our inner selves.''
Francesca started teaching for Jam Street School of Dance in 2023 and it has become her second home. The mirrored walls, the sound of music, the camaraderie—it’s where dreams pirouette into reality. ''Teaching children is pure joy. Their giggles, their boundless energy—it’s contagious! The little ones make me laugh. Their honesty, their quirky dance moves—they remind me why I love what I do''.

Jessica Wilson A.B.A.T.D
Jessica Wilson started dance classes as a young child and her life quickly started to revolve around dance.
Jessica has a special gift for teaching and easily demonstrates that there’s something magical about teaching children. Their boundless energy and curiosity light up the studio. She nurtures their creativity, helping them find their rhythm and confidence.
Jessica also teaches her own adult classes at Jam Street Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a newbie, she's here to guide you. Jess loves breaking a sweat and finds so much joy in movement.
Jess loves all types of dance but her favourite style is commercial -the fusion of rhythm, attitude, and self-expression brings out her inner sass!. Keira Gilbert
Keira has been a pupil at Jam Street since the age of 3. She began her professional training 5 years ago at Glasgow West and continued at MGA where she will graduate in June with a first class honours degree in dance! Teaching dance has always been Keira’s dream and she feels extremely grateful to be able to pass on her passion and knowledge to the students.
